Women in Horticulture Interview with Michelle Camp-Melton

Michelle Melton-Camp is a seasoned sales and merchandising expert in the horticulture industry, with over 20 years of experience working with major retailers like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Walmart. Currently, she oversees the live goods, houseplants, and pottery departments as a Merchant III for Ace Hardware Corporation, which supports a network of over 5,000 stores nationwide.

Originally from Oklahoma, Michelle’s passion for plants led her to switch her college major from accounting to horticulture. This change also sparked new opportunities. She gained hands-on experience working at independent garden centers  and a Top 25 golf course, including Southern Hills Country Club. Before joining Ace Hardware, Michelle served as a Territory Account Manager for MasterTag and a National Account Specialist for Ball Seed Company. She also held key roles at Bela Flor Nurseries and Color Star Growers, both based in Missouri.
